The African Bridge Network has supported skilled immigrants in Greater Boston since 2017. Both programs are free to participants and partner closely with employers.

Program 01 · African Bridge Network

Skilled Immigrant Certification

Earn the ABN Certification Report — proof to employers that you are ready and qualified to succeed in the U.S. workplace.

What you'll do

  • Confirms work authorization & degree equivalency
  • Strengthens English & digital skills
  • Project management training
  • ABN Certification Report for employers

Eligibility

  • Hold an international college degree
  • Currently authorized to work in the U.S. (or in process)
  • Living in Greater Boston / Metro North

  • U.S. workplace readiness portfolio
  • Direct introductions to ABN employer network
Program 02 · African Bridge Network

Immigrant Professionals Fellowship

A work-placement fellowship for foreign-trained professionals in healthcare and research, with paid experience at a host employer.

What you'll do

  • 8-week upskilling for your track
  • 6-week workforce readiness training
  • Paid placement: $20/hr · 30 hrs/week · 4 months
  • Host employers in healthcare & research

Eligibility

  • Foreign-trained in healthcare or research
  • Living in Greater Boston / Metro North
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

What you'll leave with

  • Hands-on U.S. work experience
  • Track-specific upskilling certificate
  • Direct pathway to host-employer roles
